Alexandria Institute – Greek language and culture courses in Greece and online – organizes an online lecture about philosophy in Greece & China.
Philosophy is a highly misunderstood concept. As an academic module and as an everyday practice it is supposed to promote knowledge, whereas it actually submerges us to the mysteries of our subconscious. The 6th century has given a spiritual blossom with never-before-heard ideas about the cosmos, the soul, knowledge and man. Tonight we shall take a journey to the mysteries of two great civilisations of the past in order to understand how they differ and how many things they shared. Moreover, we shall focus on two philosophers of the ancient era; Heraclitus, the obscured philosopher from Greece facing the mysterious Lao-Zi from China.
