Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR INTENSIVE COURSES

The Registration form must be sent to Alexandria Institute through our website reservation form or by e-mail to welearngreek@gmail.com before the deadline for each program. In order to secure a place, full payment of the course must be made and a receipt attached. Payment must be made out to the Alexandria Institute. Any bank charges incurred are payable by the students. For the Institute’s bank details please contact us by e-mail at welearngreek@gmail.com. Personal cheques and travellers cheques are not accepted. Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of a completed application form and is only guaranteed when payment has been cleared through our bank.

 Cancellation policy: Full refunds will be given up until the deadline for registration and payment for the programme. No refunds will be given for late cancellations.

Tuition Fees do not include Insurance: Alexandria Institute will not be held responsible in the event of accidents, illnesses, or loss/theft of valuables, either within the location where lessons take place or during outside activities organized by the Institute. It is your own responsibility to take out an appropriate insurance (valid in Greece).

Accommodation: Accommodation will be available from the day before the first day of your Greek language classes until the last day of the course. Additional nights may be requested if required.

Class size – Hours: A minimum number of 4 participants per level and a maximum of 8 students per class is required. However, it is up to the Institute whether to run courses with a fewer number of students. If a class (level) has less than 4 students, the teaching hours will be reduced to 3 hours per day if there are 3 or 2 students, or to 2 hours per day (private lessons) if there is 1 student for the same course fee.

 About complete packages: The price of the complete two week packages are based on those wishing to share a double room with another student. If it is not possible to find you a roommate we will ask you to pay the extra fee for the single room.

Student’s age: Most of our students are between 25 and 65 years old. Children from 8 to 15 years old can book private lessons. Students under 18 must have parental permission.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SKYPE (ON-LINE) CLASSES

1. Session cancellation. Lessons may be cancelled a minimum of 12 hours before the scheduled start time. They can then be rescheduled. If a session is cancelled (for any reason) with less than 12 hours notice the lesson will be charged.

2. Teacher Cancellation. Our teachers will make every effort to be available for all your scheduled sessions. However, on rare occasions it is possible that they might need to cancel a session. In this case they will give you as much notice as possible.

3.  Lateness for lessons. If you are aware that you may be late for a session you should let us know, either via email or Skype IM. If we are not informed that you will be late we will wait for a maximum of 15 minutes. After that time the session will be lost and charged anyway.
